Peer support

Mid Staffs Mind activity groups and peer support are great places for people to make new friends and share experiences in a safe environment. However there are a number of ‘friendship groups’ that get together to go out-and-about in our local communities, doing quizzes, going out for walks. Whilst Mid Staffs Mind is not responsible for these activities, peer support is acknowledged as a positive step towards improving mental health and decreasing social isolation. Our ethos at Mid Staffs Mind is to encourage our clients to use their local community to its fullest potential and to gain from peer support.
